The web portal www.visitecuador.travel is an Internet Site created by the Pichincha Chamber of Tourism, Ecuador to promote tourist attractions and Ecuadorian products in general.
This site has been operating since 2003 under the domain www.visitecuador.com and was completely overhauled in 2008. The new portal technology now provides for on-line sales of tourism products. This section will be operative towards the end of 2008.
Visitecuador.travel is the site used by Ecuador’s Tourism Promotion Fund in all of its national and regional promotional activities.

Pichincha Chamber of Tourism
CAPTUR Pichincha is a private, not-for-profit organization, representing all the tourism, travel and related activity companies legally registered and acting in the province of Pichincha, Ecuador, where the country’s capital, Quito, is located.
CAPTUR has approximately 2,600 affiliates, including entities providing Accommodation, Food and Beverage; Travel Agencies and Tour Operators; as well as Air & Land transport/tourism companies, Entertainment and other sectors.
CAPTUR certified its Quality Management System in 2005 and is still the only Chamber within the productive sector in Ecuador to hold an ISO 9001:2000 Certification.

Tourism Promotion Fund
The Tourism Promotion Fund is an official entity, specifically charged with managing the promotion of tourism in Ecuador based on a technically designed Strategic Marketing Plan. This logo is Ecuador’s official tourism brand and represents its four geographic worlds. It is used on all tourism announcements, publicity and promotion literature about Ecuador.
